Vid Din Sida is a non-political non-profit association that helps the elderly homeless in Sweden. By your side is an initiative and founded by Jeanette Höglund in 2016.
Jeanette Höglund worked as a security guard in the subway on a daily basis. There she met many elderly homeless people at night who were looking for warmth and food. This experience motivated her to do something about it.
In this way, Vid Din Sida was created to collect grants for the purchase of clothes and food, which are then distributed to those who need it most.
Every Wednesday and Sunday at At 8:00 p.m. at the T-Centralen in Stockholm, meals for retired homeless people are distributed.
The foundation’s employees, but also a team of volunteers, take part in the distribution of meals.
