In the past, cities of this type were built on trade routes and played a very important strategic role.

I discover „my Stockholm” with my sneakers on and a camera in my hand. Practically every day during running training I discover new places and fall into sincere admiration.

Suddenly, just around the corner there is a majestic 18th-century tenement house, which as if inadvertently grows on a red, rocky ground, then turning into a green, city park and peaceful sculptures that peek at passersby.

Stockholm is 14 islands connected by 53 bridges. It only takes a few steps to get from one to the next.
Stockholm is called the “Venice of the North” not without reason.
A huge network of canals, islands and bridges, tunnels above and below the water creates the atmosphere and space of this place.

It takes only a few steps to get from the royal island of Gamla Stan, via another bridge, to the districts of Norrmalm and Ostermalm, bustling with modern life. Here, in addition to countless bars, cafes and shops, we have a real mosaic of art, culture and architecture.

What amazes me is the residents’ great respect for historical buildings, which, properly revitalized, find their application regardless of time and epoch.
